Design Trends to Watch in 2021

As 2021 begins, we prepare to take on the new year and new design trends! Through research, our team creates strategies and tactics for each of our clients to help navigate the next year. The result? Animation/Video 

In our blog on social media trends, we told you video isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and the same goes for the design industry. From social media post designs to logo design, animated graphics continue to remain a major feature through the new year. These dynamic graphics with movement are eye-catching among the sea of the content we’re all flooded with daily. The brands that will stand out among the crowd will use video and animation to share their messages with their target audiences.  

Simplicity 

Less is more, right? This year’s design trends seem to agree. Expect to see an influx of blank space, clean lines, and muted colors in designs this year. We’ve seen this trend emerge with not only graphic design but web design as well. With short attention spans, consumers need to find the information they are looking for easily and quickly or they will move on. A simple, clean design helps organizations share what’s important without the information becoming lost or overcrowded along the way. 

3D

We’ve seen the trend toward 3D design in recent years with virtual and augmented reality, Instagram filters, and Snapchat lenses. In 2021, expect more brands to take advantage of this one-of-a-kind design to attract their target audience. This new trending design element gives depth to otherwise ordinary design, making it eye-catching, unique, and identifiable for potential customers.
