Ana graduated from the University of West Florida where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, specializing in Graphic Design. During her senior year of college, she pursued freelance work to help small businesses refresh and develop their brand identity. After gaining industry experience, Ana says, “I felt confident to apply for Frances Roy’s graphic designer position.” After researching Frances Roy and speaking with Shantelle and Janae, she immediately knew that this was where she would like to put down roots!

Ana finds value in all of Frances Roy’s guiding principles, but if she had to pick one that resonates with her most, it would be “give generously”. Ana says helping others is what brings her joy in the day-to-day! When asked what energizes her at work, Ana says, “I find the balance between collaboration and independent work to be energizing.” She loves to team up with her coworkers to find the best solution to a problem. When Ana is not working, she loves to spend time with her husband, family, and friends! She finds working on her passion projects and spending time in nature helps her avoid burnout.

The best piece of professional advice that Ana would pass along to someone else is to find a work/life balance. Ana says, “This is something I am currently navigating as I enter the workforce.” Frances Roy’s first guiding principle, “family first”, is valuable to her as she finds an appropriate balance. When asked what topic Ana wishes to learn more about this year, she says, “I want to learn more about gardening!”
