We’ve had the honor of working with multiple nonprofits throughout our region, and on this Giving Tuesday we’d love for you to donate to these selfless organizations to support them through this challenging year. No donation is too small.
Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast
With eight clubs throughout the region, the Boys and Girls Club services a vast amount of our area’s youth through after school programs, summer programs, and more. With their mission to help young people reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens, they need our help this year as 2020 has been particularly challenging for vulnerable kids, and your generosity helps the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast continue to provide a healthy snack, a hot meal, a device to participate in school, an adult who will be there no matter what, and more.
This premier cultural arts organization in our community is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and they would love your support to commemorate the achievement! They are committed to cultivating and nurturing a deep appreciation of the arts along the Emerald Coast and live out this mission through art education, people of all ages, and abilities!
Audubon Florida’s mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth’s biological diversity. This organization leads the way in the protection of our state’s land, water, and wildlife. Contributions to Audubon Florida support science, education, advocacy, and on-the-ground action for birds and the places and resources they need.
Dog-Harmony is dedicated to reducing the shelter dog population through ongoing humane education. Whether you purchase an item from their shop, register for one of their training classes, or give a general donation, the team at Dog-Harmony supports any and all of the generosity you have to share this Giving Tuesday! Keep an eye out on their social channels as they celebrate 31 days of giving throughout the month of December!
For more than twenty years, the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge’s daily operational goal has been the rehabilitation and release of orphaned and injured wildlife indigenous to Northwest Florida. They focus their efforts on the education, conservation, and rehabilitation for the welfare of Florida’s natural fauna.
Aletha’s Legacy is a nonprofit organization founded to give underprivileged children in Liberia and Africa hope and a chance to better education. Founded by Destin local Zhalman Harris, his primary objective is to build a better future for the children of his home country. The organization aims to provide school age children with a safe space so that they can break their country’s vicious cycle and recognize their full potential in the world.
The Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance strives to promote swimmable, fishable waterways in our community through monitoring, education, restoration, and research. CBA encourages locals to join in their mission to take accountability of their area’s natural resources. If you can’t give monetarily this year, please consider sharing your time with the CBA by volunteering to build reefs, monitor water quality, raise oyster gardens, or more.
Youth Village aims to provide a safe place, a fun place, a learning place, a place for kids where people care. They have recently relocated and are still adjusting to their recent changes. Anything you can give to help the Youth Village team and the children they support is greatly appreciated.
