Canva is a free graphic design platform, perfect for those who want to create beautifully designed items for their business, but do not have extensive design experience. The user-friendly drag and drop platform allows anyone to create social media posts, logos, flyers, presentations, videos, and more.

Here’s how small businesses can optimize Canva to promote their business.

Designing with Canva

If you have no design background, don’t be discouraged. Canva is helpful no matter your experience level. Canva’s in-depth tutorial platform will teach you all you need to know! The platform’s tutorials include everything from how to choose the right font, creating a consistent brand, and designing a branded presentation. No matter the design question you may have, Canva has tutorials to help novices hone their skills and successfully create marketing materials for their business.

Courses

In addition to the tutorials that will help you get started, Canva has in-depth courses to help users sharpen their skills. Courses include social media mastery, graphic design basics, branding your business, and more. For those who would like to know the design process and take control of their business’ creative content, Canva is a great free resource for learning the basics and beyond.

Templates

If designing all on your own still seems intimidating, here’s where we will convince you that you can do it! The platform has tens of thousands of templates for a variety of marketing materials, including social media posts, invitations, posters, brochures, videos, infographics, flyers, business cards, and so much more.

While we have professional designers on our team, we are also huge proponents for Canva for our small business clients that want to take control of designing their assets. We teach them how to make the most of this platform so they can succeed on their own. If you want our help building your brand in Canva, contact us at hello@francesroy to get started!
