What is content batching?

Content batching is when you create all your captions and visual content during a set time for a week, two weeks, or even a month in advance for your social channels. By batching content, you can focus your creative energy and plan more content, creating a more cohesive approach to your social media strategy. Here are ways to help you create content in advance.

  1. Identify content pillars. These are a defined number of topics that you consistently discuss and create content for on your social media. This helps create a guide for cohesive messaging throughout your social media channels.
  2. Look at previous posts and review analytics to see what type of content your audience engages with the most. This helps you understand what content type, call-to-action, and publishing time works best for your channels.
  3. Brainstorm content ideas. Research important dates and keep track of trends happening across social platforms. Also, review frequently asked questions from your community, timely news, or announcements related to your niche for ideas.
  4. Write captions and cultivate visual content for your different social channels and organize them into a content calendar a month ahead of time.
  5. Schedule content at times that are optimal for each social channel.

Batching content keeps your social channels consistent and organized and can save time.
